Warranty Information
Power Equipment (2 Years): Most power equipment—including all DR®️ Power Equipment—is protected against defects in materials and workmanship, under ordinary and normal residential use, for a period of two years (90 days for commercial use) from the shipment date. Under the terms of the Warranty, DR®️ Power Equipment may opt to repair, replace, or issue a refund for products that are defective or have sustained damage in shipping. Replacement of products or parts subject to normal wear and tear is the responsibility of the customer. If DR®️ Power Equipment chooses to accept a return under Warranty, you may return the defective or damaged product only after you call and receive a Return Authorization from DR®️ Power Equipment. For product specific warranty information—including a list of “parts subject to normal wear and tear”— please review your product warranty (which can be found in your product manual). All Other Products (1 Year): Unless otherwise noted, all other products are protected against defects in materials and workmanship, under ordinary and normal residential use only, for a period of one year from the shipment date. Under the terms of the Warranty, DR®️ Power Equipment may opt to repair, replace, or issue a refund for products that are defective or have sustained damage in shipping. Replacement of products or parts subject to normal wear and tear is the responsibility of the customer. If DR®️ Power Equipment chooses to accept a return under Warranty, you may return the defective or damaged product only after you call and receive a Return Authorization from DR®️ Power Equipment (see Returns & Exchanges).
Extended Warranties
DR®️ Branded Power Equipment: The standard 2-year warranty may be supplemented with an extended warranty at the time of purchase. Extended warranties are available for one, two, or three additional years (for a total of up to 5 years of coverage). Warranties may be extended after the sale, provided the standard warranty has not lapsed. (To purchase additional warranty coverage after the sale, you must call during normal business hours).
All Other Products: We do not offer extended warranties for products other than DR®️ Branded Power Equipment.
Warranty Repair Information
Machine Repairs. (See Engine Repairs below). Machine repairs under warranty must be performed by an authorized DR Service Center. Please consult our Sales & Service Dealer Locator to find a location convenient for you. Please be aware of the following:
- The term of your DR Warranty is 2 years from the date of shipment (unless you purchased an Extended Warranty). If you are uncertain as to whether your machine is still under warranty, contact us during regular business hours.
- If you choose to make repairs yourself, no compensation will be made for labor. If you need parts that are covered under warranty, contact us during regular business hours for assistance.
- Most service centers have a lead time for service, especially during seasonal peaks. We recommend calling before you visit to inquire about lead time, store hours, and whether the center can perform the specific work you need done.
- Please review your machine warranty so you are aware of what is and is not covered under warranty. You can find the warranty in your operator’s manual. All manuals can be found in our Product Support area.
Engine Repairs. If your engine needs repair and you are covered under your engine manufacturer warranty, you will need find a service center authorized to do warranty work for that engine manufacturer. We recommend checking the engine manufacturer’s website to find an authorized service location. Links:
