66 years old and works great
My husband got me this as a gift. Wasn’t that wonderful? Well I really didn’t think so at first but my opinion quickly changed. I have a 2.5 acre property with gardens and fencing and lots of trees. He’s not able to help with yard work anymore. With the self-propelled feature I can get exercise just walking it around the property. The battery powered makes it easy because other than cleaning and charging I don’t have to worry about anything. The only problem I had was new string install, but the store call quickly solved my issue. I highly recommend this product.
eletric weed eater
this weed trimer is too week and stalls often
Mower and weed eater
Does a great 👍 👌 job and is easy to use
Recommend with a few reservations
This is my 2nd DR Trimmer, the first being gas-powered and one I used for more than ten years. I wanted to go electric for many reasons, and overall, I'm happy with this unit. It is super quiet; there is zero maintenance, unlike the gas unit. It isn't as powerful by far, but for the work I do (mostly weed-wacking), it is powerful enough. It take some getting used to the self propelled unit, my original gas unit didn't have this feature. I do like it overall, but depending on the evenness of the area being mowed, this unit can stall (which is necessary and restarting is super fast and easy), and I wish I could slow it down more than it allows. But it does, making mowing far less of a strain (I'm 65). I wish there were four instead of two cords like my original trimmer, and I wish these lasted longer, but the quick install head (which I had on my older unit) is great. I have two batteries and can get about an hour of mowing using just these two. I will get a 3rd, as today I mowed, ran out of juice, and charged the 1st battery while using the 2nd. It ran out, it took about 30 further minutes to change that first battery. So, with three in total, I think I can get going with two more as the first charges up. Plus: clean, super quiet, no fumes or having to deal with gas and oil, and no maintenance (quick clean up). Since I have solar panels, this pup is solar-powered! The cons are that it stalls if not on even land, it is difficult to back up (you need to always move forward even with self-propelling off), and there are just some little oddities you have to get used to if you've used a gas, DR Trimmer.
It works great
I have a hilly lot with spots where the angles exceed 45 degrees. In places it is also very rocky. The trimmer self-propels up the hills and rocks easily. It takes some time to get used to how to lift the mower head up and keep the power to the wheels on, but after a while it almost becomes a dance between moving the head up, down and sideways and turning the wheel power off and on to get the maximum cutting benefits. It works extremely well. So far, the machine has proven itself to be rugged and capable. I find that the manufacturer's claim of 30 minutes per charge is spot on if the self-propelled function is being used. Two batteries do the trick for me and then I'm ready for a break. The machine is pretty heavy, and I couldn't imagine using it without the self-propelled feature. I also really like the battery power. I became frustrated over the years with trying to remember what tools needed just gas, or oil and gas, and whether or not the gas was expired or had extender in it etc., etc. So, for me the simplicity of battery power is great. Replacing the cutting cord is a breeze. It takes about 10 seconds for both cords. The only thing I would change is that I would like the slow speed to go slower than what it does. I find that at times I need it to move very slowly. All in all a great product.

Q.Looking at your Dr Trimmer Mowers both the self propelled models. The pulse and the proxlsp. What are the maximum safe slope angles to operate them at across the slope and what is the maximum slope the drive will drive up?
A.Thank you for your question. We do not recommend using any of the Trimmer Mowers on inclines over 20 degrees due to safety concerns.

Q.Does this have two motors? Drive/Trim or is it belt driven. Asking because we have the largest gas one and the belts have always fallen off and it takes a long time to reassemble.
A.Thank you for your question. This machine has a belt that propels the Trimmer head. The wheels are direct drive.

Q.Would I be able to use the Gray Serrated cords with the Pulse model?
A.Thank you for your question. We would not suggest using that cord with the Pulse Trimmer Mower.
