Easy Conversion
Switching from horizontal to vertical mode (or vice versa) takes only a few seconds. Just slip out a pin, rotate the unit, and re-insert pin to lock it into position. Lets you split those really big rounds without lifting the log onto the beam.
DR Engine
Easy-starting DR 6.6 HP (9.59 ft-lbs gross torque*) engine powers the hydraulic pump. Warranted for 2 years in residential use (90 days commercial).
Rugged Hydraulics
Hydraulic pump generates 3400 psi in the cylinder (4" bore). Steel piston compression seals provide consistent power...year after year.
Easy Towing
A 2" ball hitch comes standard (with safety chains) allowing for road towing at speeds up to 45 mph. Durable, 16" DOT-approved tires. Jackstand folds up for transport.
4-Way Wedge
The optional 4-way wedge easily attaches to the standard vertical wedge, allowing you to get 4 logs out of one split.
Cast Iron Beam
Provides rock solid stability in either horizontal or vertical mode without any of the rocking you get with lightweight splitters.

PREMIER 25T LOG SPLITTER
I ordered the product online after speaking with the DR sales representative. I took advantage of the free shipping and picked it up at a local FedEx freight station. I have a pickup truck and a neighbor with a small backhoe lifted the carton out of the truck. The carton weighs over 550 pounds, so it is not something a couple of people are going to pick up and unload or slide up your driveway. The splitter was well packed and arrived with no damage. All the parts and nuts and bolts were in the carton. The instructions were easy to follow. Everything went together without any problems. You will need two people to assemble the beam as it very heavy. Otherwise, one person can complete the rest of the assembly. It took me about 3 hours to fully assemble the splitter. The instruction manual is somewhat dated and refers to an external hydraulic oil filter that is not part of the current model. I placed a call to technical support to confirm that there was no external filter. They answered the phone with a very limited delay and were very knowledgeable and helpful. The manual instructs you to add 4 gallons of hydraulic oil and then check to see that the oil covers the site glass. Purchase 5 gallons of hydraulic oil as 4 gallons will not be enough to fill the site glass. The engine started on the first try. The unit can split 30-inch diameter logs and the two log trays are a nice feature as they keep the split pieces from falling on the ground. Given the cold and snowy weather, I was only able to use it for about two hours. It performed well and I don't think you can go wrong by purchasing this model.

K22 splitter review
I purchased this splitter in 2020 and wrote a preliminary review that year after a few uses. Now that I've owned and used it a while, I can say how impressed I am with this machine. It is very well made and has plenty of power. It's a pleasure to use because it is quiet and fast. A few things concerned me in the beginning but most of that was a matter of using the machine a few times and for moving parts to get settled and break in. It works great and I highly recommend it.

Used the unit works great. Quiet plenty of power. I put a jack stand to move it around easy.
HORIZLOG
It was a big surprise to me that we had to assemble the machine. I did not see this on your website or catalog. We managed to get all the parts together with some advice from DR concerning forcing the log trays to fit. So far we have processed 2 trees and it seems to split easily and so far no injuries. I would give it 5 star but cannot because of limited use. Ask again next year and mention customer assembly in your brochures.FF

Q.Log Splitter manufacture location
I had previously asked about the manufacturing location for the Rapid fire and duel action splitters. Are the DR still made in the USA, where are the manufacturing locations for the new Duel splitter and the new 22 Ton horizontal/vertical splitters?

Q.Does the 22 ton model's blade automatically return after splitting is completed?
A.Thank you for your inquiry. To begin the retraction of the ram it is necessary to push the lever into retract mode. Once there it will "lock" into place and the ram will automatically continue to retract until it reaches the end of the cycle, then the lever will spring back into the neutral position.
