The Struggle is Over!
Our lightest model, the PILOT is ideal for light-to-moderate conditions. At just 55 lbs. it is the lightest gas-powered Trimmer Mower on the market and is super-easy to maneuver. But the PILOT doesn't lack for muscle, and is guaranteed to dramatically outperform any handheld trimmer you can find.
An offset frame design allows the PILOT model to trim right up against foundations, fence lines and other obstacles with precise control. And with its low profile, you can easily reach underneath shrubs or fence stiles to clear out low growth.
We recommend the PILOT for continuous trimming and mowing (releasing the bail bar stops the engine). If you want the ability stop the trimmer head from spinning without shutting the engine down, step up to a PREMIER, PRO, or PRO XL.

Optional Beaver Blade for the big stuff
The optional Beaver Blade turns your trimmer into a chainsaw on wheels. Cuts trees up to 3" in diameter quickly and easily. It's the perfect way to take down stands of "weed trees" without bending over or dropping to your knees like you have to with a normal chainsaw.
Optional Quick-Lock Trimmer Head

Performs well when I get it running
I have tested it yesterday the first time and have had an important problem. The starter coil is so tight I cannot start it very often. Whenever it ran it did an excellent job. I had a hard time starting it and know my wife could not start it.
Brush trimmer
I purchased this to clean my family cemetery I have had two other brush trimmers in the past so I'm familiar with them .the thing i like about my pilot is the ease of putting the string in ,the different height adjustment and the power of the motor it didn't bog down when I went into heavy weeds .
Just what was needed
Bought this to is in my mother's over grown yard and it didn't let me down. Was able to cut though the thick area with no issues
review of trimmer mower and durable kit
this is really two reviews. one for the DR Pilot and one for the durablade kit. The review for the DR Pilot is 5 STARS. It works as advertised. I have cleared about an acre of heavy brush and weeds using the blue and orange cord. The cord is hardly worn. The orange cord cuts like a hot knife through butter. The review for the Durablade kit is 0 STARS. It is a piece of junk that costs $50 and lasted less than an hour. All three blades broke and were not as effective as the orange cord. I contacted customer support seeking a refund and was told this is a wearable item and not refundable. It is more expensive than the spool of orange cord. I suspect the spool of orange cord with last a million times longer than the durablade junk. Buy the trimmer mower, DO NOT BUY THE DURABLADE KIT!!!!! Sorry for the overall 3 star rating but I could not find a way to leave a separate review the durablade JUNK.
Great Machine
It’s a great machine, easy to work with but still have some deficiencies: 1) The gasoline tank is too small, works only about an hour then quits. 2) The wane bar which be against the handle bar when operated has no retention device. Needs to be tied down to the handle bar; or the machine stops when let go. 3) Was hard to start initially. I pulled 5 times before it start. Support services recommends to lubricate the carburetor with Sea Foam, also to add in gasoline. 4) The wheel on Air filter side needs to be removed to remove and clean the Air Filter and to able to access the carburetor.
Q.IF A PILOT WILL DO WHAT THE OTHERS WILL DO WHY SPEND MORE FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL DO THE SAME JOB?

Q.Is this mower suitable for working on a hillside?
