For properties with exceptionally long fences to keep tidy and roadsides to maintain, the DR 3-Point Hitch Trimmer Mower is the easiest solution! Trim weeds and high grass within a whisker of fence posts, walls, and other obstacles as you simply operate your tractor. The spring-loaded mowing arm automatically deflects around obstacles, so there's no worrying about leaving spots untrimmed or damaging your posts. The 23" diameter steel guard allows you to safely trim within a half-inch of any obstacle. You can even adjust the amount of resistance they place against obstacles.
The pivoting deck is ideal for roadsides, pond banks, and any other areas with uneven ground. It allows the trimmer head to follow the contours of the turf, leaving it trimmed and tidy. And the adjustable-height anti-scalping wheel prevents damage to the ground. Cutting height adjustment gives you precise control over the height of the remaining grass. And don't worry about tough weeds — the DR 3-Point Hitch Trimmer Mower accepts all DR Trimmer cord, including our extra-thick 225- and 255 mil cords for slicing through tough weeds and grass.
In order to ensure proper cutting and discharge of material, it is recommended that you not exceed 2 mph while trimming with the DR 3-Point Hitch Trimmer Mower.

Spring-Loaded Mowing Arm
The spring-loaded mowing arm allows the trimmer head to automatically deflect around fence posts, mailboxes, walls, and other obstacles. This allows you to trim right up close to just about anything on your property!
Steel Guard
The 23" diameter steel guard ensures that you'll trim just as close to fence posts as you need to, but not damage them. The guard allows the trimmer head to cut within a half-inch of any obstacle.
Adjustable Height Anti-Scalping Wheel
The adjustable-height anti-scalping wheel prevents damage to the turf by keeping the trimmer head always at a constant distance from the ground. Adjust the height to make precise cutting height changes. Cutting height can be adjusted between 1.5" and 3.5".

3pt hitch trimmer mower
The trimmer works great. There was a learning curve. I did experience some difficulty putting it together and attachhing to my John Deere 2025. The issue was the key which needed to be installed in gearbox for PTO attachment. After 3 calls to Technical support, H**** provided the best advise about the key and insertion into slot in gearbox. I did use a small mallette to insure a proper fit. There also was no direction on installing the tension spring. I would recommend the trimmer as a good tool fir a farmer.
Need more information in description
Bought this to trim around my lake. If you read closely the description does say "not compatible with quick-hitch systems. I thought maybe it could be adapted for the quick-hitch. I was wrong it would take major modifications. Attached it to the tractor without the quick-hitch. NOTE: build a stand out of the shipping pallet, otherwise it is very difficult for one person to attach to tractor. Some well-placed drop down legs would be a great addition. Also there is no mention of being careful how high you raise the unit. If you raise it too high you will bend the driveshaft ($338.00 with tax and shipping for a new one). So does it trim? Yes it does, but it is not as easy as just driving the edge of the lake. The head does not stick out far enough to give you any wiggle room so it is more useful to pull forward and back up at an angle to cut the weeds without getting tractor too close to drop-off. So it does the job, but it is not an easy product to use. Still better than walking with a hand-held trimmer.

Decent machine, cuts well. Just wish it had a larger tire on it. Falls into every little hole.
Roadside /fence
From the purchase process to the delivery it was very easy and fast. The set up was easy, but I had a little trouble with the pto and the keyway, it was a very tight fit. The trimmer worked very well even in tall grass and a variety of tough weeds if you follow the recommended speed. The trimmer string (blue) is very durable. I haven’t tried the other line provided. I am very pleased with the product and its performance. Thank you.
Pond Trimmer
Grass was a bit high but I had to make several passes to get the cut I needed, I hope that once the grass is a the proper level it will be easier to maintain with this trimmer.

Q.Will this work well for woven mesh wire live stock fencing with wooden posts and t posts?

Q.Do u have some current questions about any changes u made. How about "did u beef up the 3-pt hitch" or strengthen this unit overall? Most farm field fencing is not on a nice smooth field.
