Digging holes for fence posts or for pilings can be a frustrating, back-breaking job. Not anymore! With our DR Post Hole Digger, you can drill holes almost as fast as you can drive your tractor from one site to the next. Your tractor's 3-Point Hitch hydraulics raise and lower the auger, while the cast-iron gearbox reduces the auger speed to 540 rpm for smooth, steady drilling.
The DR Post Hole Digger is a commercial grade tool. Designed for Category 1 or 2 tractors from 20HP to 45HP, the DR includes a long-reach PTO shaft and a 6-spline, quick-release tractor yoke. The driveline is protected by a 5/16" shear bolt.

DR post hole digger
I received my DR post hole digger and the components were not secured in the box and it got a lot of the paint scratched off down to the metal, I know it will get scratched during use but it would have been nice to put my own scratches on it instead of being delivered with them. DR did step up and provide touch up paint to me. After I got it assembled and set up on my tractor the unit worked very well and did a much quicker job digging holes compared to my gas powered auger that I was using. All in all very pleased unit.

Missing owners / instruction manual
I'm Missing the owners / instruction manual. It was not included in the plastic case. How can I get the owners / instruction manual.?
Q.Is the post hole digger compatible with a quick hitch system mounted on the tractor 3 point lift or do you need to remove the quick hitch to use the digger?

Q.I have a John Deere 1023e compact tractor. Will this post hole digger work with it?
A.Thank you for your question. This is compatible with a Cat 1 or 2 tractor that has 20HP-45HP. If your tractor is within these requirements then it will fit.
