Self-Feeding Action
A large vertically oriented hopper, a precisely-angled heavy-duty chipping knife, and a powerful air channel work together to pull branches into the chipping hopper and blast wood chips out the discharge. Most materials will self-feed, so once you drop a branch in, you're free to get the next one. No force feeding required!

Tractor Mounted Chipper
I have run this chipper on my John Deere 650 tractor for about eight hours and I'm very happy with it. My tractor is only about 20 Hp but that is enough for almost all limb sizes. The very biggest will cause the tractor to labor. One reviewer said the knife dulls quickly. I haven't had that experience but I maker sure the limbs do not have dirt or other foreign material on them. Dirt will dull a blade quickly. The shipping dimensions are wrong I believe. They spec says 48" L x 46"W x 44"H but it was shipped on a double pallet. Fortunately we had a utility trailer to load it onto. It was well packaged and arrived with no issues. Overall I'm very please.
Wasnt assembled completley
After hooking up the chipper to my tractor for the first time and turning on the PTO I noticed the cutting wheel wasn’t turning, the PTO and shaft were turning but not cutting wheel. I thought it was a loose belt so I removed the cover and discovered that the shaft was not connected completely to the pulley. The key was not installed in the groove, the allen screw was not tightened and one of the three bolts on the pulley was very loose. I was able to install the key and tighten up all the bolts and reassembled the belt guard. Everything else seemed OK on the chipper. I then ran the chipper and chipped wood for about an hour. The chipper worked well and I didn’t have any other problems. I am a little disappointed on how this critical connection was missed at the factory. Hopefully I have no other issues in the future.

Great Attachment
I live in the mountains and didn’t want to keep burning brush piles, so purchased this in 2013. It has been a great attachment with no issues. I just recently replaced the chipper knife and the belt ( which looked a little frayed). Highly recommend for anyone with tractor PTO power.

I've owned it about 1 month and already have about 6 hours of chopping logged into it. It is performing well. Today I will take it apart to sharpen the blade and put a grease gun to it.

Q.Can the chute be easily changed to point in another direction or do you have to remove bolts to do that?

Q.Is this chipper quick-hitch compatible?
A. The tractor requirements for the Three Point Hitch Rapid Feed Chipper are as follows: Must be a Category 1.. Must have a HP between 19 and 65. The 2 outside pins and top pin must be 7/8" in diameter.
