Demolish stumps up to 3 feet wide!

With the power of a world-class DR engine with 9.2 HP (15.3 ft-lbs gross torque*) the PRO Stump Grinder has the power to remove stumps up to 3 feet wide. The 3-sided tungsten carbide-tipped teeth power through the toughest wood and last 3x longer than the competition. It's the quickest and easiest way to remove troublesome stumps from your property!

Unlike the heavy, cumbersome grinders commonly available, the DR Stump Grinder is light and maneuverable, without sacrificing strength and durability. Constructed of 12-gauge steel, it is light enough to move from storage to stump and back with ease.

Eliminate hazardous stumps anywhere on your property to expand lawn areas, open up fields and meadows, or blaze new trails.

FEATURES
FEATURES

Simple Operation

Position the DR Stump Grinder over the stump, engage one of the wheel brakes to lock a single wheel in place before engaging the cutting head and pivoting over the stump from side to side, shaving off an inch or so of material with each pass. Reposition the machine as needed to continue removing material until the entire stump is reduced to a pile of wood chips.

Oversized tires easily roll over rough terrain

The lugged high-flotation tires make for easy transport. Large size tires (15" x 4.75") give the machine full support and help to keep the body of the machine elevated over wood chips during operation.

Mining-grade teeth last 3x longer

The cutter head features 8, 3-sided Greenteeth® mining-grade tungsten carbide tipped steel teeth. 10 times harder than steel, tungsten carbide is often used for drilling through the toughest materials, including bedrock and each tooth can be rotated twice for added longevity.

Powerful engine

Our DR OHV engine with 9.2 HP (15.3 ft-lbs gross torque*) spins the cutting teeth at 2,800 rpm – taking 372 “bites” per second and powering through stumps up to 3 feet in diameter. Available with choice of manual- or electric starting.

Simple hand controls

Control the wheel brakes and engine throttle right from the handlebars. Lock one wheel in place to easily pivot the machine back and forth as you grind away any stump. Unlock and reposition as needed, right from your working position.

    Great for a first-time buyer

I am quite pleased with this stump grinder. I had to do a little more assembly than I anticipated, but nothing too difficult. I was a little concerned about the fact that I have to hold down the handle with my left hand and only pull with my right, but the starter cord pulls easily, and it has started with 1-2 pulls each time. I jumped right in on some good-sized stumps (18+ inches), and once I got into the rhythm of how to rotate the machine back and forth, those stumps were gone in short time. Smaller stumps disappear in a very short time. If you're new to using this type of machine, this is a good one to start with.

    Very pleased with purchase

The stump grinder does really well and performs up to what I was expecting.

Beginners review with November purchase and only one stump finished.

The DR PRO was pretty simple to assemble. However, the brake assembly was not as described and I had to get help from information online. My stump grinder started after several pulls, but I had to be careful because the starter rope sometimes wanted to yank my arm off. The first stump was a 22-inch cherry and by the time I finished, the DR PRO was getting easier to control. It took maybe 45 to 50 minutes to get the stump down 6 inches in order to plant grass over it.

Q.How much does the Pro model weigh and is it self propelled?

A.Thank you for contacting us and your interest in the DR Stump Grinder.

The Pro model weighs 148 lbs on the manual start model and 163 lbs on the electric start model. The Pro DR Stump Grinders are not self-propelled, it comes with lugged, high-flotation tires and a lightweight design. The DR Stump Grinder is easy to transport to any stump on your property. And because of their size, the tires keep the machine elevated over the growing wood chip pile as you grind a stump away.

Please contact us if you have further questions.

Q.What is the horsepower of this model?

A.Thank you for your interest in the DR Pro Stump Grinder.

Many engine manufacturers no longer rate their smaller engines by horsepower. They rate them by foot-pounds of torque. Rating by foot-pounds of torque is a trend that is spreading throughout the industry because it is a more accurate measure of power. All of our machines are fitted with engines that are more than powerful enough to do the work they were designed to accomplish.

Please contact us if you have further questions.
