Demolish stumps up to 3 feet wide!

With the power of a world-class DR engine with 6.6 HP (11.1 ft-lbs gross torque*) the Premier Stump Grinder has the power to remove stumps up to 3 feet wide. The 3-sided Greenteeth® tungsten carbide-tipped teeth power through the toughest wood and last 3x longer than the competition. It's the quickest and easiest way to remove troublesome stumps from your property!

Unlike the heavy, cumbersome grinders commonly available, the DR Stump Grinder is light and maneuverable, without sacrificing strength and durability. Constructed of 12-gauge steel, it is light enough to move from storage to stump and back with ease.

Eliminate hazardous stumps anywhere on your property to expand lawn areas, open up fields and meadows, or blaze new trails.

FEATURES
FEATURES

Simple Operation

Position the DR Stump Grinder over the stump, engage one of the wheel brakes to lock a single wheel in place before engaging the cutting head and pivoting over the stump from side to side, shaving off an inch or so of material with each pass. Reposition the machine as needed to continue removing material until the entire stump is reduced to a pile of wood chips.

Oversized tires easily roll over rough terrain

The lugged high-flotation tires make for easy transport. Large size tires (15" x 4.75") give the machine full support and help to keep the body of the machine elevated over wood chips during operation.

Mining-grade teeth last 3x longer

The cutter head features 8, 3-sided Greenteeth® mining-grade tungsten carbide tipped steel teeth. 10 times harder than steel, tungsten carbide is often used for drilling through the toughest materials, including bedrock and each tooth can be rotated twice for added longevity.

Powerful engine

An easy-starting DR OHV engine with 6.6 HP (11.1 ft-lbs gross torque*) spins the cutting teeth at 2,800 rpm – taking 372 “bites” per second and powering through stumps up to 3 feet in diameter.

Simple hand controls

Control the wheel brakes and engine throttle right from the handlebars. Lock one wheel in place to easily pivot the machine back and forth as you grind away any stump. Unlock and reposition as needed, right from your working position.

    Stump grinder

Works great and does a good job but makes my back hurt because of having to bend over to operate.

    Happy with product

I have used it for 2 stumps so far. Still getting used to it. Purchase was easy, as was the assembly. I have an issue with the throttle not returning to idle. This I believe is not the lub on the cable since I can not return cable even manually. I plan to tinker with the throttle at the carb since it does not appear to return by the spring action. It actually comes in handy as you do not need to squeeze the handle continuously. It does give you a workout but for the price it made short work of the stumps, especially since these were a 16" hickory and a 28" white oak. Start with the hard stuff, others should be a breeze.. I would definitely purchase again.

    Excellent Little Machine

This is an excellent little machine. Lightweight and easy to move around. Quickly takes out small stumps and takes out large stumps with small even strokes.

    Big bite in little package

After putting together I tossed the directions to the front of the bed of truck. Lifted grinder out of trucks and added gas and oil which was a pain. Getting ready to try it out, I started trying to start it with no luck thinking not me. After checking the normal things gas valve open, spark plug boot seated. I decided to get directions and see if maybe I missed something. Sure enough you have to have the grinder engaging level pulled for it to start. Pulled lever and then one pull grinder started.

PRODUCT Q&A
PRODUCT Q&A

Q.can you replace the carbide tipped teeth easily? and are the teeth available to purchase at a supplier?

A.Thank you for your question. There are 5 steps and four tools to replace the teeth. The steps are relatively straight forward. Some dealers do have the teeth available in their inventory. You would need to check with a local dealer near you.

Q.Do the stump grinders work on cypress knees.

A.Thank you for your question. The Stump Grinder should work on Cyprus knees. Since they typically grow in wet areas we do not suggest you try grinding them if the knee is submerged. Also, be mindful not to get the machine stuck if the area is very muddy.
