Our top of the line PRO XL34T Horizontal/Vertical splitter delivers 34 Tons of force for tackling the biggest logs. It is designed for easy transition between horizontal and vertical configurations. The horizontal mode is easiest for most splitting tasks. But when you come across an extra big round, you can save yourself a lot strain by simply pulling out a pin, easily rotating the unit into its vertical position, and splitting the log on the ground...no lifting required!
An easy-starting DR 9.2 HP engine powers the 2 stage pump (13.0 GPM), generating 3500psi of splitting force. Logs up to 30" in diameter and up to 24" long are no problem. And the PRO XL34T's 15-second cycle time makes it one of the fastest hydraulic splitters in its class.
Road-Towable
A 2" ball hitch with safety chains comes standard, allowing you to tow the unit at speeds up to 45 mph on its big 16" tires. The jackstand folds up for transport, locking into place with a simple cotter pin.

Switching from horizontal to vertical mode (or vice versa) takes only a few seconds. Just slip out a pin, rotate the unit, and re-insert pin to lock it into position. Lets you split those really big rounds without lifting the log onto the beam.

Finally I bought a log splitter
The unit came well packaged. It had parts arranged too easily assemble. The unit appears to be well made. The bolts and nuts were all there. The instructions were well done. My only complaint was my hoses were missing the "o" rings. I had to get new ones shipped and customer service by Ronnie was excellent. They came in 3 or 4 days. I have split about 2 cords without any issues. I am buying the extended warranty since the machine will see a lot of usage.
Can't go wrong with this splitter!
This splitter starts every time all the time and hasn't found a log it can't split yet. I previously had a Northern tool splitter with the Honda motor and this one is faster. I use it at home and at my cabin. I like the fact that I can hook it to my side by side pull it in my 14' enclosed trailer, put it in vertical position and away I go.

Brand new product, nothing but trouble
Q.Will this model be offering electric start feature anytime soon? I want to replace my older DR log splitter that was stolen but not sure if I am strong enough to start this size engine using pull start. I have large oak and maple rounds and need a stronger splitter.
A.Thank you for your question. Currently, there is no plan to introduce electric start as an option for this model.

Q.cast iron is a bad material for tension applications like this do you mean cast steel for the beam and foot assembly?
Welding cast iron is very difficult due to the high carbon content of the material. It will crack very easily. The foot appears to be welded to the beam and will surely be a weak point if it is not a cast steel or steel material. What is the composition of the material for the beam and the foot ? This is related to the 34 ton log splitter.
A.All three models of the DR Horizontal/Vertical log splitters are built similarly using the same materials for the beam. These components are actually made from low carbon steel rather than cast iron. The beam is actually a low carbon steel H-beam rather than welded plates. Q.Will your new 34 ton hydraulic splitter have auto return? (No hands detent)
A.Thank you for your interest in our Log Splitters. Once you move the lever into the retract position, the ram will continue back without needing to leave your hand on the lever. However, you do need to move the lever into retract position to set the ram in motion. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions.
