Highest Capacity Available!
The DR PRO MAX450 is the highest capacity non-commercial leaf collector available anywhere. When you can collect up to 60 cubic feet (450 gallons) you spend less time emptying the collector and more time gathering leaves and other lawn debris, and leaving your lawn vacuum clean.
To assist with unloading, the PRO MAX is equipped with a powered dump feature that does the hard work for you. You simply unbuckle the closures on the back then push the powered actuator button. It tilts the collector back to a steep 60-degree angle that empties it completely. Then you can power it back to the collecting position.
With the collector removed, you can use the PRO MAX flatbed to haul all sorts of loads around your property. It's perfect for stackable and tie-down items and the dual wheels assist in distributing the weight and lessening the impact on lawn areas.

Great machine
Our yard is full of 100' oak trees so the leaf volume is huge. This unit works extremely well at vacuuming large volumes of leaves and small twigs. I am using only the 20' vac hose at this point. I first use my Stihl 600 leaf blower to pile the leaves and then the Promax 450 to pick them up. It is also great for getting the leaves out of shrubs. Will add some photos later and address the dumping issue many speak about.
DR Leaf and Lawn Vacuum PRO MAX450
This is my second machine. Upgraded to this one for the power dump and curtain that opens in the rear for dumping large heavy loads of grass. We did fine that some of the buckles that hold the curtains back on the sides don't reach to lock when dumping. When closing the curtains on the back it takes some extra effort to click the plastic buckles together. The power of the larger engine has much greater vacuum than my older smaller lawn vacuum. You do need a good size mower to pull this, if you fill it with grass or wet leaves.
Awesome Leaf & Lawn Vac
I received this vacuum a week ago. Assembly was straight forward. I have a JD 515e with 60” deck so purchased the standard boot deck adapter and extension hose that is needed for zero turn mowers. Today was my first mow and the vacuum worked exceptionally well. I also bought the hand hose to use for cleaning leaves and debris out of my basement window wells and bulk head stairwell. Again, everything worked terrific. When it came time to dump the contents, I backed my DX2 trailer up to the back of the Pro Max450 and was able to tilt the vacuum up to about the halfway point and pull the contents directly into my trailer for easy hauling to our landfill! Thank you DR Power for an awesome product!
ProMax Pros and Cons
The Pro Max 450 is a beast when it comes to vacuuming leaves, grass and branches, never had an issue with the power and vacuum capabilities. However, do not spend the extra money on the powered lift, EVERY Time I dump it will not come out, wet grass, dry grass, leaves, it will not empty, and every time I end up dumping it manually. I tried to talk with one of their engineers to provide some ideas, but never heard from them. Very powerful machine and vacuums everything great, but dumping the unit has a lot to be desired and needs massive improvement.
PRO MAX450
I purchased the Pro Max450 and it does not work as indicated. No matter what amount you put in the cart it will not dump the grass or leaves. The canvas sides bulge out and even with the cart in the vertical position you can not get the debris to dump. I have only loaded it to 3/4 or less. You can not unload the cart in the dump position because of the flaps on the back. To get the debris out of the cart I have to let the cart down on the hitch put the flaps under and on top of the trailer and empty it with a pitchfork. This is very time-consuming and a pain. It takes me 20 minutes to get all of the debris out when 3/4 full. I have to say it picks up everything in one pass and has only stopped up twice because of limbs and sticks. The Tech support is fantastic and they know their products. Just wish it was easier to empty and DR has no answers as of now on how to fix this problem.
Q.Will this mount to a 60” deck on a JD Z740R? Is there a better option for Z turn mowers? Thanks in advance
