I wasn't sure if this was going to work for BlackBerries or not. They are really hard and you have to get them out by the root ball. I bought this thinking I had a 50-50 chance if it would work on the berries and it works great. So glad I got it!

Q.How does it work? Does it pinch the roots and top?
A.Simply stick the weeder into the ground, push the lever on the side, and the prongs will come out and squeeze and lift the weed out of the ground.

Q.Does anyone know how Grampa's Weeder works on pulling dandelions?
A.The Grampa's Weeder is ideal for removing dandelions, thistles and other invasive weeds without kneeling, bending or using harsh, costly herbicides.
Simply center the two iron gripping prongs over the very center of the dandelion (foot pad lever can point in either direction), press into the ground and give the tool a sideways twist. Then remove your foot and out comes the weed, root and all within the prongs. This is a simple, effortless tool to use.
