Lightweight and Maneuverable!
Just looking for a great brush mower? The PREMIER is our lightest and most maneuverable DR Field and Brush Mower. Unlike its bigger brothers, the PREMIER is designed exclusively as a mower (it does not accept our optional attachments), which allowed us to take weight out of the frame...and that translates into easier, more responsive handling in the field.
With a 26" cutting width and three forward speeds (as well as powered reverse) the PREMIER has everything you need to churn through the thickest field grass and clear out overgrown brush, including saplings up to 2" in diameter. The OHV engine starts easily every time, and the big, lugged tires track reliably over all kinds of uneven terrain. This is one solid mower!
Superior Mulching
Our decks are enclosed on 3 sides, so that cut material is chopped and re-chopped, reducing grass and brush to a fine mulch. This means less material is left behind in your field, and none of the windrows you get with side-discharging mowers.

The legendary power, performance and durability of Briggs & Stratton® makes it a great choice for the PREMIER Field and Brush Mower. The PRO 26 10.5 HP model uses a durable 344 cc Overhead Valve E Series™ Series manual-starting Briggs engine with cast-iron cylinder sleeve.
Gear-Driven Transmission: Lock it in and Rip it up!
Unlike hydrostatic drives, the DR's geared transmission lets you lock in your ground speed, leaving your hands free to steer the machine across uneven terrain (instead of fussing with touchy throttle controls as you go). With 3 forward gears, you can choose a fixed pace that's right for you.
Big, Lugged Tires for Sure Traction
These are big (16" x 4.75"), lugged tires that pull the PREMIER through or over just about anything, and they are sealant filled...which means they're highly resistant to puncture. Tough as nails, apparently!
Custom-Made Blade Spindle
Made of 1.375" thick cast iron with oversized double sealed bearings, the blade spindle is integrated into the deck housing and reinforced for vibration-free performance. Designed to provide years of maintenance-free use (and abuse!).
Adjustable Handlebars
A comfortable working height is important, especially when traversing rough terrain.
Ergonomic Controls
Both on the control panel and on the grips, all DR Field and Brush Mowers controls are designed to optimize operator comfort and minimize hand fatigue. Everything you need is right at your fingertips, so there is no walking around the mower to make adjustments.

FLAT TIRE
I spoke with a salesperson before purchasing the Premier 26 regarding the tires. My concern is that I needed tires that were flat free. He explained to me they were filled with a sealant that would protect the tires from going flat. Unfortunately my tires are flat.
I love ❤️ it
Runs great easy to operate. Starts easy does the job well. . Hard to tell when the gas tank is full. No fuel shut off. No oil dip stick.

Great machine
Had the brush hog delivered about a month and a half ago, easy to assemble and pretty much ready to go in no time. Got it to clear my trails for deer hunting as well as create some new ones, the thing is a champ and I haven't even put on the heavy duty blade yet. Starts easy and chews through the brush and saplings like butter. Highly recommend.
Q.Is there an option of a locking differential to use on rough terrain.
