Great machine!
Awesome machine - cleared a year’s worth of manual labor of berries, brush and tall grass- all of which were wet. We named ours Mr. Munch. My only criticism is that the 40 lb. Battery is way too heavy to take in and out all the time and a second person has to hold the red catch clip open. (Yes, we are late 60s women.) you should devise a way to charge the battery without having to remove it.
electric brush mower
works well. not very sophistcated machine. would be better with separate variable speed for each wheel. do battery packs need to be so heavy? quite expensive for what it is. but I'm glad to have electric instead of gas powered. the mower deck skids need to have replaceable wear bars. would like mower as wide/wider than wheel base. Can your lawn mower attachment fit on this machine? Thank you.
Hi Hal, thank you for your review. At this time, we do not have attachments available for this machine.
Powerful machine
As a 5'4" woman with small hands, I have to say that the DR electric brush mower is not optimal for a person my size. Controlling and braking are not easy. The electric model DOES NOT have the adjustable height handles as advertised. The brake levers are spaced so far apart that I can barely reach my fingers around to squeeze them. We were able to adjust the cables so that I could reach around the levers, but it is still a strain to do so. That said, the machine is rugged and powerful. And quiet! It chews up brush and saplings as promised. We haven't tried it on grass yet, but we're quite pleased so far.
Love it!
I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in power between gas and electric. But it is simply wonderful to have the quiet, the clean air and the ability easily start and stop the machine.

Q.What degree slope is safe with the DR Field and Brush Mower FB26E Battery-Electric? I'm thinking both slope of running the machine up or down a hill, as well as across the side of a hill (neither up nor down). How controllable is the FB26E on slippery slopes?
A.Thank you for your question. We do not suggest using this machine over a 20 degree slope and we would not suggest using on a slippery slope.
