DR E-Series Battery

DR’s unique E-Series battery platform features a 2.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which can be used to power multiple products (including DR Zero-Turn Lawn Mowers). On the FB26E, it is housed under an easily accessible hood with a magnetic closure. With the easy grip handles it can be quickly removed for charging in any household outlet (recharges in 2.5 hours). One battery will power the FB26E for up to an hour and a half.

FEATURES
FEATURES

Battery Pack and Charger

2.5 kWh, 48V battery pack charges in 2.5 hours. External charge and error indicator. Battery is compatible with DR ZT5E Zero-Turn Mower and future products.

Brushless Motor

7.3 kWh, 48V motor delivers exceptional power.

Spare Battery Caddy

Allows you to transport an extra battery to your jobsite to enable longer work sessions (up to 3 hours between two batteries). Note: battery should be removed for mowing.

Battery Housing

Battery hood with handle latches magnetically—no tools required for access.

Power Steering is Easy on You!

Our disc brake system provides Power Steering. Each wheel is equipped with its own brake, operated by a hand lever. Just squeeze the brake on one side, and the mower will pivot easily around that wheel. You're in control...without wrestling the machine!

26" Pivoting Deck

The 26" deck is wide enough for effective clearing but is still very maneuverable. Unlike rigid, fixed decks found on some mowers, the DR deck pivots from side to side, allowing it to follow the contours of rough terrain. This feature minimizes scalping and improves traction.

Adjustable Handlebars

A comfortable working height is important, especially when traversing rough terrain.

Ergonomic Controls

Both on the control panel and on the grips, all DR Field and Brush Mowers controls are designed to optimize operator comfort and minimize hand fatigue. Everything you need is right at your fingertips, so there is no walking around the mower to make adjustments.

Assembled in the USA

Assembled in the USA using foreign and domestic parts. Ships direct from our Wisconsin factory.

Custom-Made Blade Spindle

Made of 1.375" thick cast iron with oversized double sealed bearings, the blade spindle is integrated into the deck housing and reinforced for vibration-free performance. Designed to provide years of maintenance-free use (and abuse!).

Big, Lugged Tires for Sure Traction

No other brush mower has tires like this. They're the biggest (18" x 6.5" x 8"), they have superior lugged treads that pull the mower through or over just about anything, and they are sealant filled...which means they're highly resistant to puncture. Tough as nails, apparently!

Gear-Driven Transmission: Lock it in and Rip it up!

Unlike hydrostatic drives, the DR's geared transmission lets you lock in your ground speed, leaving your hands free to steer the machine across uneven terrain (instead of fussing with touchy throttle controls as you go). With 3 forward gears, you can choose a fixed pace that's right for you.

    Great machine!

Awesome machine - cleared a year’s worth of manual labor of berries, brush and tall grass- all of which were wet. We named ours Mr. Munch. My only criticism is that the 40 lb. Battery is way too heavy to take in and out all the time and a second person has to hold the red catch clip open. (Yes, we are late 60s women.) you should devise a way to charge the battery without having to remove it.

    electric brush mower

works well. not very sophistcated machine. would be better with separate variable speed for each wheel. do battery packs need to be so heavy? quite expensive for what it is. but I'm glad to have electric instead of gas powered. the mower deck skids need to have replaceable wear bars. would like mower as wide/wider than wheel base. Can your lawn mower attachment fit on this machine? Thank you.

    Response from DR Support

Hi Hal, thank you for your review. At this time, we do not have attachments available for this machine.

    Powerful machine

As a 5'4" woman with small hands, I have to say that the DR electric brush mower is not optimal for a person my size. Controlling and braking are not easy. The electric model DOES NOT have the adjustable height handles as advertised. The brake levers are spaced so far apart that I can barely reach my fingers around to squeeze them. We were able to adjust the cables so that I could reach around the levers, but it is still a strain to do so. That said, the machine is rugged and powerful. And quiet! It chews up brush and saplings as promised. We haven't tried it on grass yet, but we're quite pleased so far.

    Love it!

I haven't noticed any appreciable difference in power between gas and electric. But it is simply wonderful to have the quiet, the clean air and the ability easily start and stop the machine.

PRODUCT Q&A
PRODUCT Q&A

Q.What degree slope is safe with the DR Field and Brush Mower FB26E Battery-Electric? I'm thinking both slope of running the machine up or down a hill, as well as across the side of a hill (neither up nor down). How controllable is the FB26E on slippery slopes?

A.Thank you for your question. We do not suggest using this machine over a 20 degree slope and we would not suggest using on a slippery slope.
