Push Button Cutting Height Adjustment

Electric Lift Height Adjustment
Make easy adjustments to the cutting height (from 4" to 7.5") from your tow vehicle. A battery powered actuator does the work, allowing you to change mowing heights on the fly, without stopping.
Remote Control
The cabled remote control can be routed to your tow vehicle, and it handles two different functions: 1) engaging the blade and 2) raising or lowering the cutting height.
Chain Debris Guard
Similar to the debris shields used on commercial roadside mowers, this guard stops material from flying forward.
Mows Outside Wheelbase
The mowing blade extends outside of the wheels—so you can mow right up next to fences, walls, hedgerows and other obstacles without interference.

Pro Max 52”
Overall great product, very happy with the cutting ability and versatility of this mower. There are only a few things I wish were a bit different. First, why doesn’t the tongue have the ability to swing to the left or right without removing and flipping the tongue? Why not just build the pivot points so the tongue will swing both ways? Second, I think the ‘remote’ is just about useless. I leave it bundle tied to the mower. If I could start/stop the mower with the remote, it might be worth it. Since I have to get out of my SXS to start and stop the mower, I just set my cutting height and engage the blades at that time. Third, the blades. I bought a set of replacement blades when I bought the mower. The blades that come on the mower are not nearly as heavy, nor double sided, as the replacements. Why aren’t the stock blades as heavy as the replacements? Lastly, I think the tongue is way too long. I wish DR Power had a shorter version for just towing straight behind my SXS. As it is now, I feel like I’m driving a semi trying to turn around. Overall very happy, would definitely purchase again.
What a BEAST!
I read about the problems others had so I had an authorized DR dealer give it a once over and test it out when I first received it. All tested great! I brought it to my field and started mowing. This thing went through my field with no problems. The grass was over 5ft in some areas and there were some plants that were a couple inches thick, no hard trees, and it mowed right through everything. I pulled it with a Polaris 450 HO. I have a lot of flat sand and it slowed a couple of times sinking in the sand but no issues overall. I totally recommend it! Couple of negatives…This is big and is made more for straight line cutting you cannot make sharp turns with it, just too long. Also only one key came with it, I just ordered a second key, since I cannot get copies made. It cost over $20 for the key and shipping… $8.19 for the key and the rest was shipping.
Mower on steroids
I had my mower delivered a couple weeks ago. I will say the product was packaged very well and it took me an hour to get it un-crated which was OK. After the assembly and putting oil in and gas it fired up perfectly. The next day I hooked it up to my UTV to start mowing and the bed wouldn't raise or lower. I went to the troubleshooting section in the manual and determined it must be the 15amp fuse. I actually had one in my shop, replaced it and away we went. THIS MOWER CUTS GRASS LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW. I have a 5 acre plot and the back 2/3 of the lot didn't get mowed last year. the grass was about 2 feet high and very thick. The mower made short work of the grass. I would recommend the mower to anyone having a lot of grass to mow. thanks
Review of Pro Max 52
The Promax 52 is a powerful brush hog as advertised. I have an old Ford tractor with a bush mover ant it is much better than that in heavy duty applications as it doesn't bog down. However, i have experienced problems with the electrical system not charging the battery. I am on my second battery and it's still not charging. Also, the turning radius is larger than the old Ford which requires a lot of work cleaning up the corners on the fields.
Don't back up!!
I absolutely love the way it cuts, it's a very rugged and powerful machine! That being said. why are the tow bars made so cheaply?? This sucker weighs over 600 lbs and will plow through just about anything, but don't even think about backing it up if you get into a bind! My ext. bar bent and the main bar snapped off at the weakly made pivot points immediately. The service department is great and is sending me replacement parts but just curious as to why this is such a rugged machine being towed by cheap, white metal and very thin pivot points that show no flexibility. Come on Vermonters, you can do better than that.
Q.How long does the charger on the battery last? Can I use a bigger lawn mower battery?
A.Thank you for reaching out. While the machine is not in use the battery should be placed on a trickle charger. The battery keeping a charge is dependent upon storage conditions and how often it was used prior to storage.
