Power and Remote Control
The PRO 44T offers several key upgrades from the PREMIER model. With a 17.5 HP Briggs and Stratton EX series engine, the PRO 44T has substantially more power—which enables faster mowing speeds that let you mow up to 1.5 acres per hour. Plus, a cabled remote control allows you to start or stop the engine and engage the cutting blade from your the seat of your ATV or UTV.

Floating Deck

44" Mulching Deck
The 44" mowing deck is enclosed on 3 sides, so cut material is chopped and re-chopped, leaving windrows behind.
Outrigger Tow Bar
The 2-piece tow bar allows for offsetting the mowing deck to the left or right...or you can mow right behind your tow vehicle.

Terrific mower
Mows off everything! Plenty of power. Starts easily, runs smoothly. Had to schedule the purchase and delivery a few weeks out, DR was very accommodating and organized delivery exactly when I needed the mower. We also have a walk behind DR mower that is just as good.
Wonderful except front tires
Mowed hayfield that hadn’t been mowed for over a year. Some orchard and rye grass 4-5 feet tall. Multiple saplings of various trees 3-4 feet tall + lots of other stuff. Pulled brush mower with fair size ZTR. It did a fantastic job. Field looks new with green grasses covering field. Only complaint was front tires didn’t seem same quality as rest of mower. Had a flat on one with no puncture in tire but pin hole in tube and plastic washers needed reinforcement also. Everything but front tires was quality and strongly built and it did a great job in field and even around fence edge full of branches and vines and overgrowth. Very satisfied.
Way better than my old Swisher!
I really love the Pro 44T, it replaces a 60” Swisher finish mower, it cuts through the tall grass on our 10 acres with ease - on the first pass. It is well made and I like being able to remotely start and stop the blade.

Poor workmanship
Poor design and communication regarding known issues. First time I used it after 10 minutes the belt came off. After disassembling the cover to reinstall the belt I noticed things were not aligning. I found the bolt on the belt tensioner was loose. I torqued it to a 3/8" bolt specifications. After 15 minutes of operation the same thing happened again and I fount that that bolt was loose again. I called tech support and the person was VERY friendly and helpful and told me to use Lock-Tight on the bolt. I also told him I was going to double nut that bolt, he said that was going to work also. I complained that the belt took a beating on the 2 times in ran out of alignment and coming off. He shipped me a new belt at no cost. I also drilled a small hole in the tensioner arm so I could use a needle grease gun to grease the pivot bushing, which I am sure would fail and a few years of use. After another 30 minutes or so the blades stopped again. This time I found that the tension spring had come off. I put that back on the hooky bolt setup it goes over and better secured it in place. After this I have ran the unit for at least 2 hours and have not had any more issues. I wish that I would have gone with the 20 HP instead of the 17.5 HP The 17.5 HP engine is lacking in the power needed to cut the material this unit is advertised to cut.
