Great Little Hitch
I purchased the Jimmy Hitch to use in towing my DR Lawn & Leaf Vac behind my zero degree turn mower. I have only used it once, but so far it performs as advertised. I really wasn't sure how secure the connection would be, but I used it over some really uneven ground surfaces and had no problems with it. It performed great whether towing or backing. It's very easy to install and the quick couple works great.

Works ok but in one day the receiver fell off my tractor and I had tightened it well.
Q.How much higher will the Jimmy Hitch raise the tongue of the Premier Lawn Vac? The top of the tractor hitch plate is about 9 to 9-1/2 inches above the floor. The top of the frame, tongue and hitch of the Lawn Vac is 13 inches above the floor at the axle. Needing to make the trailer tongue more level when hooked up to the tractor.
A.Thank you for your question. It is about a 2" difference.

Q.I have a 3-4 year old Premier tow behind leaf vacuum (attaches to a fixed plate on the lawn tractor, and the wheels of the cart pivot).
Would this work to improve the maneuverability of the tractor and cart. My tractor wants to sled a bit in turns. Thank you.
A.If your mower is a zero turn mower, I would not recommend switching to a single point hitch assembly. If your leaf vac is the newer version with the blue panel collector box and your mower is not a zero turn, you may want to consider reverting to the single point hitch assembly with the fixed axle. If your machine is the older model with the black hard plastic collector box that has the rubber T-handles, unfortunately we do not have a fixed axle assembly for this machine and changing to a single point hitch assembly would cause you to not be able to control the vacuum (it would float back and forth behind you). If the tread on the tires of your tow vehicle is warn, you may want to consider replacing them for better traction in corners.
