The PRO 475 features our DR Self-Feeding design that will let you tear through branches up to 4.75" in diameter without bogging down. A vertically oriented hopper, precisely angled chipping knife and powerful air channel draw materials in and spit them out the chute.

The PRO 475 Chipper accepts our swivelling, extended discharge chute that turns 180° allowing you to direct wood chips into a pickup truck, a container, or into the woods.

Self-Feeding Action
A large vertically oriented hopper, a precisely-angled heavy-duty chipping knife, and a powerful air channel work together to pull branches into the chipping hopper and blast wood chips out the discharge. Most materials will self-feed, so once you drop a branch in, you're free to get the next one. No force feeding required!
Oversized Chipping Hopper
The big opening for branches (17" x 27") accepts 4.75" branches with little or no trimming of side branches.
Road Towing
Add the optional road tow package and you can easily tow your Chipper on roads at speeds up to 45mph.
Heavy-Duty Flywheel
The key to efficient wood chipping is the rotating mass created by the flywheel on which the chipper knife is mounted. The PRO 475 features a 17.75" diameter flywheel that weighs a hefty 50 pounds. It spins at 128 mph and takes an amazing 40 "bites" per second!
Pro-Spec™ Chipper Knife
Made of high-carbon/high-chromium forged alloy tool steel, our knives hold an edge longer than those on "bargain" chippers.. Still, as with any cutting tool, keeping a sharp edge is important for maintaining peak performance. We recommend keeping an extra on hand so you can minimize downtime.

Excellent Chipper --- Exceptional Customer Service!!!
Chipper arrived with a damaged fuel tank and a completely sulfated (discharged battery). Contacted customer service and was sent a new fuel tank and battery within seven days. Even without the battery, the chipper starts on the first pull and pulverizes branches into impressively small woodchips (similar to hamster cage bedding) perfect for paths around my three-acre property. Could not be happier with my purchase!
Nice chipper
I love everything about my chipper except the electric starter stopped working after two weeks.
Wood chipper
Excellent machine. Works as described. Came with a flat tire that wouldn't hold air. Was replaced in a few days . Great service. This is my second purchase of equipment from DR, will not be afraid to buy again.

So far so good, only used this chipper a few times. Works great, shipping was fast, assembly was very easy.
My first DR
Happy with the machine and it's chipping power BUT the blade got dull faster than I was expecting. If I could give a 4.5, I would. Still very happy with purchase..!!
Q.What is the width of this chipper? I want to know its width dimension to understand what size doorway it can fit through for storage. Hence, I assume the hopper will need to factor into the dimension.
