Self-Feeding Action
A large vertically oriented hopper, a precisely-angled heavy-duty chipping knife, and a powerful air channel work together to pull branches into the chipping hopper and blast wood chips out the discharge. Most materials will self-feed, so once you drop a branch in, you're free to get the next one. No force feeding required!
Oversized Chipping Hopper
The big opening for branches (19" x 30.5") accepts 5.75" branches with little or no trimming of side branches.
Road Towing
Add the optional road tow package and you can easily tow your Chipper on roads at speeds up to 45mph.
Commercial Grade Clutch
The commercial-grade centrifugal clutch on the PRO XL575 Chipper is similar to those used in well drilling. There is no load on the engine until it reaches 1,600 rpm. If you do manage to find a branch tough enough to slow the engine to 1,600 rpm, the clutch will automatically disengage the engine until it's back up to speed.
Heavy-Duty Flywheel
The key to efficient wood chipping is the rotating mass created by the flywheel on which the chipper knife is mounted. The PRO XL575 Self-Feeding model features a 20" diameter flywheel that weighs a hefty 62.5 pounds. It spins at 144 mph and takes an amazing 40 "bites" per second!
Pro-Spec™ Chipper Knife
Made of high-carbon/high-chromium forged alloy tool steel, our knives hold an edge longer than those on "bargain" chippers.. Still, as with any cutting tool, keeping a sharp edge is important for maintaining peak performance. We recommend keeping an extra on hand so you can minimize downtime.

First time use, 7th piece of debris and the wheel got stuck and burned up both belts. I had a 375 yrs back and it was indestructible. Hope this one doesn't turn into a lemon.

Excellent since I have one of the originals I can see how much went into making this beauty The only thing I see that needs a way to adjust is the air intake draws in leave pieces that come through the chipper I also would like to see guage on gas tank maybe it’s there but I haven’t see it Also I like that it is well balanced for lifting and moving Thank you

We purchased 5 acres and are clearing it a little at a time. This chipper works great and really helps with the cleanup.
The XL575
This XL575 works very good. It does most every thing I put into it. I do not put 5" or above into the bin. You do need to trim or break off some side branches due to too thick or green to give as it feeds into the chute. My biggest complaint is the use of cheap fasteners on the spacer bar between the frame and the cutting edge. These broke off twice now with very little tension on them. (China junk) I had to buy fasteners for initial assy. I should not need to buy parts to assemble this as a new piece of equipment. Buy better fasteners! For those buying this, the air is strong coming out to the discharge chute and will fly everywhere. I fastened ( a couple of small duct tape pieces at strategic places) a tarp on the discharge chute and spread it out over my little wagon and it did a great job of containing the chips.

Q.What is the overall assembled width of the PRO XL575 for both the yard wheel kit and the road wheel kit?
A.Thank you for your question. The width is 44.75" with the road tow kit and 32.5" with the standard wheel base.

Q.What is the battery type and make on this model and where can you order a new battery? Cannot find any listing for this battery or detail specifications. If you want to us the manual start, is there any setting that need to be changed to start it manually. I purchased this unit on Order Number E000493172 and it will not start, trying to check for the reason why. Thanks, Dennis
