Pin-Hitch Package for DR Self-Feed Chipper
This was a disappointing product. The support arms that connect to the chipper body are weak and under engineered. They flex during towing and don't hold the machine level when trailer jack pad is on ground. I have tighted the mounting brackets as tight as possible but they still flex/move when weight of machine is put on pad of thejJack. This product is definitely not up to what I consider DR's normally high standards. I would not recommend this product.
Simple Hitch
This is a simple hitch accessory to convert and tow a woodchipper. Installation is easy. A few faults: First, it should be a ball type hitch. If the hitch is not the same level as the towing machine it is very difficult to connect. Second, the attachment to the woodchipper is two bolts on either side of the frame. The bolts are inline and not offset allowing the connecting bars and hitch to slightly pivot making the first issue even more difficult.
Q.Please confirm that your pin hitch package is compatible with the DR CP3 Premier Chipper with 11.50 HP engine. Is the coin included? if not, what pin size is recommended?
A.Hello, You would want the pin hitch with item # 24409 This will fit on the CP3 model. Everything that you will need to use the pin hitch will be included in the package.

Q.Is there a package to be able to tow the chipper with a hitch and 2" ball? That is what I have on my Kawasaki Mule to tow with. Thanks.
A.We do not offer such a package for our smaller chippers.
