OVERVIEW
OVERVIEW

The DR® 50" Lawn Sweeper’s patented spiral brush efficiently sweeps away more than a standard sweeper while putting less stress on internal gears, and the extra wide 9" intake chute is less likely to clog – even when dealing with damp grass and clippings that can clump together. The “no-slip” positive lock height adjustment features seven height settings, and the reversible hitch accommodates a full range of tractor heights – no spacer rings needed. Emptying the hopper is as simple as pulling on the connected rope right from the seat of your tractor.

    Good unit for the price.

I have been looking at a new sweeper for 2 years. The I saw this one on sale and decided to try it. Assembly was a little tricky as I was doing it alone. The debris catching unit was the part where a 2nd set of hands would have been welcome, but I managed and did get it assembled and working.. I've only used it once but thus far it works great! This was on grass that had been mowed. I am looking forward to see how it handles all the leaves off from 3 big maple trees we have .

An earlier Craftsman sweeper I owned had died and I needed a new one. This one is a HUGE improvement over the Craftsman version I had. This one is built stronger and gets the job better! The only thing that is a little anoying and that is that DR handles the sales of these but the origin and parts are from Ohio Steel. On the upside for Ohio Steel I was missing a part needed and they responded quickly when I brought it to their attention.

    Lawn sweeper

Worked great once I replaced the snap in connection with bolts. It was constantly coming apart until I bolted it. Other than that it went together easily and worked great in the end

    Q. Is there any danger of the bag tearing hitting the ground while being towed?

A.If properly adjusted and towed behind a vehicle with a hitch height of 7-11” it should not hit the ground. Most front ending riding mowers have this height.

    Q. What type of tow-vehicle can be used to operate the lawn sweeper?

A.The lawn sweeper can be towed with a lawn tractor or ATV as long as the machines have a pin hitch. Maintain a max speed of 6mph. Going too fast may strip the gears over time.
